Fidgeting with the heavy books on my hand
I pushed my glasses on my nose back to my eyes
Trying to readjust my dress
I looked at my feet

The next thought that came to my mind
Confirmed all my fears
I picked the wrong flat shoe to wear
I looked at my self and those around me

Why do I look so different
Could it be the glasses or the dress
No it can’t be
It is surely the flat shoe

I sat down waiting for my name to be called
I have no option I just have to wait
Up next the girl on glasses
I looked up and I looked around

Maybe someone else was on glasses
I looked back at the person calling
I meant you Yes you! The Nerd Girl
Then the realization hit me

Now I understand why I look different
How could I have forgotten
I smiled at my flat shoe it wasn’t the problem
